1. Information We Collect

Expense Tracker is designed with privacy as a core principle. We collect minimal information:

• Expense data you enter (amounts, categories, notes, dates) — stored locally on your device only.
• App preferences and settings — stored locally on your device.
• Anonymous crash reports — if you opt in via iOS system settings, Apple may send crash logs to us through App Store Connect. These contain no personal or financial data.

We do not collect your name, email, phone number, location, contacts, or any other personal identifying information unless you explicitly provide it when contacting our support.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your expense data is used solely to provide the features of the app on your device. Specifically:

• Display your expenses, budgets, and reports within the app.
• Calculate totals, averages, and trends shown in charts.
• Send local notifications (e.g., budget warnings) — these are processed entirely on your device.

We never use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the app.

3. Data Storage & Security

All your expense data is stored in an encrypted database local to your device. Lyónsoft does not have servers that store your financial data.

• Data is stored using iOS secure storage mechanisms.
• We do not operate any backend servers that receive your expense records.
• If you delete the app, all locally stored data is permanently removed.

4. iCloud Sync

Expense Tracker offers optional iCloud sync to back up and sync your data across your Apple devices. When enabled:

• Data is synced through your personal Apple iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit framework.
• Lyónsoft does not have access to your iCloud data.
• Synced data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
• You can disable iCloud sync at any time in iOS Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud.

5. Third-Party Services

Expense Tracker does not integrate any third-party advertising SDKs, analytics platforms (such as Firebase Analytics or Mixpanel), or social media SDKs.

The only third-party interaction is with Apple's own services (App Store, CloudKit, StoreKit for in-app purchases if applicable), each governed by Apple's own privacy policies.

6. Analytics

We rely solely on aggregated, anonymous App Store analytics provided by Apple (e.g., total downloads, average rating). This data contains no personally identifiable information and cannot be traced back to any individual user.

7. Children's Privacy

Expense Tracker is intended for users aged 4 and older. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. Since the app does not collect any personal data at all, it is safe for all ages. Parents are encouraged to supervise app usage for younger children.

8. Your Rights

Because all data is stored locally on your device, you maintain full control:

• Access: All your data is visible within the app at any time.
• Deletion: Delete individual records within the app, or delete the app entirely to erase all data.
• Portability: Use the Export feature to download your data as CSV.

If you have concerns about data shared during support interactions (e.g., via email), contact us and we will delete it upon request.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be communicated via an in-app notification or App Store release notes. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
