Lineage Keeper is a family-history utility for creating family spaces, recording people and relationships, viewing a basic family tree, remembering important dates, and keeping memorial or grave details together.

The current MVP supports parent/child and spouse relationships, with safeguards against self-reference, duplicates, and basic parent-child cycles. A person's detail view can also show inferred siblings and connected family members.

Yes. Birthday, death-anniversary, and custom-event flows can use Gregorian or Vietnamese lunar source dates where supported. Upcoming occurrences are calculated by the app and are not stored as a separate source of truth.

Yes. A memorial record can include a cemetery, address, plot/row/grave details, directions, notes, latitude/longitude, a linked person, photos, and a last-visited date. Choose Open in Maps to hand the saved address or coordinates to an external Maps app. Lineage Keeper does not read your current device location or show an embedded map.

Open Data Management to create a versioned JSON backup and validate or preview it before restoring it as a new family. ZIP backup with managed media, full CSV reports, and PDF family reports are Pro features; plain JSON backup and restore remain available on Free. Restore does not merge with or delete an existing family.

The current MVP stores canonical family data in the local app database and managed media in local app storage. There is no account, cloud sync, collaborative server, or automatic remote backup. Files leave the app only when you explicitly save, share, export, restore, or open a stored location externally.

Not in the current public MVP. The project does not include a remote analytics, advertising, attribution, or crash-reporting SDK. This may be reviewed if a future release changes the dependency or telemetry model.

Lineage Keeper is currently available on Google Play for Android. The project also targets iPhone/iPad, macOS, and Windows; their store availability and release timing may differ. The project configuration currently uses Android minimum SDK 24, iOS 15+, and macOS 12+.

Free currently allows one active FamilySpace, up to 50 active people, 20 active memorials, and 25 active media assets per family, plus plain JSON backup/restore. Pro removes those quotas and unlocks ZIP backup with media, full CSV, and PDF reports. The optional one-time product is intended for supported Android, iOS, and macOS storefronts; Windows purchase support is not available in the current MVP.

PDF reports use a Unicode font bundled with the app, including for Vietnamese text. The current PDF flow does not need to download a font at runtime.

Include your platform, device model, operating-system version, Lineage Keeper version, the screen or action involved, and steps to reproduce the issue. Do not send passwords, payment details, or private family records unless support specifically requests a safe diagnostic example.
