Privacy Policy

1. Summary

Video Compressor does not require an account and does not upload your videos to Lyonsoft for compression. Selected media, previews, output files, and compression history are processed or stored locally on your device.

The app may use analytics, advertising, remote configuration, notifications, and purchase services. These services receive only the information needed for their stated purpose; they are not used to read the contents of your videos.

2. Information processed on your device

• Video and media files: the videos you select, their file size, duration, dimensions, thumbnails, and compression settings are accessed to show previews and create output files.
• Local app data: compressed files, recent tasks, preferences, theme settings, and notification settings may be stored locally until you remove them or uninstall the app.
• Media library changes: when you save or remove a video, the app uses the relevant operating-system media APIs to complete that action.

Video Compressor does not need access to your media library after you revoke permission or stop using the related feature.

3. Optional service providers

Analytics and app configuration

Firebase Analytics may process app events, app instance information, device information, and basic performance signals to help us understand reliability and feature usage. Firebase Remote Config may receive app and device information to deliver settings such as ad or feature configuration. We do not send video content in these events.

Advertising

Google Mobile Ads may process device information, advertising identifiers, approximate location, consent choices, and ad interaction data to serve, measure, and prevent abuse of ads. On iOS, the app requests permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework where required.

Notifications

Firebase Cloud Messaging and the operating system notification services may be used for optional reminders. You can deny or disable notification permission in your device settings.

Purchases

If you purchase a premium feature or subscription, the relevant app store and RevenueCat may process purchase receipts, an anonymous app user identifier, product information, and entitlement status. Lyonsoft does not receive your full payment card number.

4. Permissions

Depending on your device and the feature you use, Video Compressor may request access to photos or videos so you can import, preview, save, or remove media. You can manage these permissions in iOS or Android settings. The app does not request permission to upload your personal videos to a Lyonsoft server.

5. Sharing and retention

We do not sell your video files or personal information. Local media and app data remain on your device until you delete them, clear the app data, or uninstall the app. Analytics, advertising, purchase, and notification providers retain their records under their own policies and applicable retention periods.

When you contact support, we receive the email address, message, attachments, and technical details that you choose to provide. Support correspondence is retained only as long as reasonably needed to answer the request, maintain records, or resolve disputes.

6. Children

Video Compressor is a general-purpose utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.

7. Your choices and contact

You can manage media, tracking, notification, and advertising permissions through your device settings. You can delete local videos and app data using the app or your device's storage controls.
